Your castle. Your browser.

Void Castle Defense · v310 production release preparation · 7 October 2026.

No account, ads or payments. Progress stays in your browser, not a cloud database. The public game uses optional cookieless Plausible analytics. The public leaderboard is disabled.

Local progress and backups

Keep the same browser and exact site address. Another domain, a private window or cleared site data can mean a different or missing save. Options · Data provides Export Save, Download Backup and Import Save. v310 exports include the current run checkpoint, not just the wallet.

On the first v310 visit, older public game records are copied into a validated transactional save. A checked pre-update backup must be stored before the upgraded profile can commit. Original records are not deleted or rewritten by this migration. Download the pre-update save from the footer's v310 update & backups button too. A browser copy does not survive clearing all site data.

The upgraded save stores profile and run together, with a best-effort previous checkpoint. Checks detect damage, not cheating. Damaged or unknown saves are stopped for recovery rather than silently replaced. If storage is full or unavailable, saving can fail. Keep only one game tab open; stale tabs are stopped when another save or older profile change is detected.

A confirmed Import Save replaces the current upgraded profile. A confirmed Reset Profile clears current progress. The protected pre-update records remain separately available; reset does not erase those recovery copies. To delete all stored game data, use the browser's site-data controls, after exporting anything you want to keep.

What changed in v310

Research and time-based rewards advance only while the game is running. Closing earns no gold, shards, healing, research, cooldown work or waves. Reopening an unfinished run waits for Resume. Defeat settles rewards once and keeps the report until Return to Menu. No automatic replacement run.

A browser may freeze or discard a background page. The game cannot promise uninterrupted hidden-tab play and does not invent progress for an unknown suspension gap. The older save format retains a between-wave checkpoint, not a full unsaved fight; v310 cannot recover state an earlier build never saved.

Night Watch and Eternal Engine ownership remain recorded as legacy investments. They have no closed-time effect. No automatic refund or replacement has been applied. Other recorded progress, cards, research and loadouts are carried forward when valid.

Analytics, hosting and community links

On voidcastledefense.com and its www host, the existing Plausible configuration measures visits, gameplay events and outbound links without adding game analytics cookies. It does not upload your save code or full browser profile. Tests on localhost or another Netlify hostname do not enter this public analytics configuration. A failed analytics request does not block play.

You can opt out of game analytics on this browser using the button below; it reloads the page. This preference is local and makes no promise about hosting logs or outside websites.

Plausible's data policy describes its processing. Netlify hosts the static files and receives ordinary web requests under its own policies. There is no game save-upload endpoint, database function, public-board submission, account login or payment service in this release.

Discord, YouTube, Twitch and other external links open sites with their own policies. A copied save or shared run link may contain progression, settings, results and your chosen name. Do not publish a save code you want to keep private.

Installation and offline access

Supported browsers on the public domain can install the game. The service worker keeps a healthy offline copy after a successful online load. Online reloads check the network for updates; the game does not forcibly reload a running castle. Offline access does not add cloud saves or closed-time earnings.
